Dr. Robert S. Janssen is the Deputy Director of the Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention-Surveillance and Epidemiology at the National Center for HIV, STD & TB Prevention at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. A member of both the International AIDS Society and the American Academy of Neurology, Dr. Janssen has received three Public Health Service (PHS) Commendation Medals, a PHS Health Foreign Duty Ribbon and two PHS Citations. He has published more than 70 scientific papers. Dr. Janssen has held several other appointments in his 13 years with the CDC. He was the Associate Director for Science and Prevention, Division of HIV/AIDS Prevention and Acting Chief of the HIV Seroepidemiology Branch. Dr. Janssen was Chief of and Medical Epidemiologist for the Population Studies Section branch of the HIV Seroepidemiology Branch. He also was a Medical Epidemiologist in the Retrovirus Disease Branch in the Division of Viral and Rickettsial Diseases.

Richard Jimenez is a Faculty Associate and Project Director of the AIDS Education and Training Center for Texas/Oklahoma at the University of Texas-Houston Health Science Center, School of Public Health. He received an undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Austin, a master's degree at Antioch University and is a doctoral candidate at the School of Public Health. While at the CDC, he was coordinator of a national partnership project with the religious community as part of the National AIDS Information and Education Program. In Public Health and HIV/AIDS prevention since 1983, he has conducted community outreach with Houston area churches and has worked as project officer at the Texas Department of Health and CDC.

Rev. Dr. Bill Johnson

Rev. Dr. Johnson is a United Church of Christ minister and certified sex educator. Since January of 1990, he has served as minister for HIV/AIDS ministries coordination with the United Church Board for Homeland Ministries of the UCC. He oversees the development of HIV/AIDS resources for education, advocacy and caregiving. In 1993, the United Church Board for Homeland Ministries published "Affirming Persons ­ Saving Lives," an AIDS awareness and prevention curriculum designed for use in Christian education settings with people of all ages. In 1996, Johnson was named minister for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender concerns for the United Church Board for Homeland Ministries. Rev. Johnson received a B.A. degree from Elmhurst College, an M.Div. degree from Pacific School of Religion, an Ed.D. degree from the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality and he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Sexology.

Dr. Michael Johnson is the Chief Medical Officer and Deputy Director of the Division of Training and Technical Assistance of the HIV/AIDS Bureau at the Health Resources and Services Administration. He is a board certified internist and infectious disease specialist with experience in clinical trials, health promotion and planning and delivery of health care to medically underserved populations. A graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine, he completed training in Internal Medicine at the Faulkner Hospital in Boston, a fellowship in immunology and clinical infectious diseases at the University of Florida and a Master of Public Health at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. He joined the Johns Hopkins Medical faculty in the Department of International Health and coordinated studies on HIV and TB in Haiti. He designed a comprehensive HIV/AIDS education program for players of the National Basketball Association and later founded a non-profit health education corporation, Mosaic Health.
