Rev. Sharon Keeling-Clapp

Rev. Sharon Keeling-Clapp is the President of Keeling Enterprises which is a management consulting firm which specializes in offering support and technical services to non-profit community-based organizations. Their clients include government organizations; educational institutions; ecumenical, interfaith and inter-religious organizations; HIV/AIDS service providers and commercial industries in the areas of Special Events Management, Research/Grant Writing, Strategic Planning, Marketing/Public Relations. Rev. Keeling-Clapp is an Associate Minister at Community Baptist Church in Englewood, New Jersey where she coordinates the health awareness outreach ministry. This unique ministry is designed to promote health, and facilitate the prevention, early detection and control of diseases which disproportionately and adversely affect communities of color. She serves on the Board of Directors of AIDS National Interfaith Network.

Dr. Roger Corless has degrees in Christian Theology (B.D., Kings College, University of London) and Buddhist Studies (Ph.D., University of Wisconsin-Madison). He has published five books and over fifty articles on Buddhism, Christianity, Buddhist-Christian Dialogue and Gay Studies, especially in relation to Buddhist-Christian Studies. Since 1970 he has been on the faculty of Duke University. In 2000 he will retire from Duke and move to the San Francisco Bay area where he plans to increase his involvement in Buddhist-Christian Studies and Interreligious Dialogue.

Gloria Cox Crowell has worked in the field of Community Outreach and HIV/AIDS for the past eight years. Alameda County Public Health Department currently employs her in the Office of AIDS as a Program Manager in the contracts and Grants Management Division.

Ms. Cox Crowell began working with Allen Temple's AIDS Ministry in 1993. The main goal of the ministry is to train a cadre of volunteers in emotional/practical support and to develop a close relationship with Project Open Hand to increase home deliveries of food in the East Oakland area.

Gloria is also Co-Chair of the African-American AIDS Coalition. She was a member of the planning committee for the first National Perinatal Outreach Workers Conference and was awarded the Outstanding Performance Award by Dr. Ciro Sumaya, Administrator, Health Resources and Services Administration.

Brahma Das, a writer, editor and consultant, is Media Chair of the Parliament of World Religions and Media Director of The River Fund, a non-profit organization in Florida helping people with AIDS and other life-challenging diseases. He also serves as Executive Director of the Council for World Tibet Day. A Pulitzer Prize nominee in History, he was a National Correspondent from the United States Senate for Westinghouse Broadcasting. He is a graduate of Yale University, had a Fulbright in International Relations in Paris and holds a graduate degree from the Columbia Journalism School.
