Rev. Angela Davis

Rev. Angela Marie Davis, a recent graduate of The Starr King School for the Ministry, coordinates the Unitarian Universalist Association HIV/AIDS Network for the Faith in Action Department. Rev. Davis has worked with HIV/AIDS related issues since 1986 while teaching Math Methods for Education Majors at National Louis University in Chicago. An un-fulfilling stint as a Corporate Credit Analyst prompted her return to the world of Non-Profit Management. First as a coordinator of Volunteers and AIDS Education for a Women's Clinic in San Francisco leading to Directing HIV/AIDS services and Prevention Services for at-risk youth and their families.

Rev. Davis will start a Chaplain's internship in the Fall of 1998. She plans a Community Based Ministry assisting community organizations and businesses in developing ethical policies that support people in need. Rev. Davis lives in Lodi, located in the fertile San Joaquin Valley of Central California with her partner, K.M. Chapman, and their dogs, "Bailey" and "Bailey's Dog, Baxter."

Rev. Arthur Davis is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and is the Coordinating Chaplain and HIV/AIDS Program Coordinator at Collins Correctional Facility in upstate New York. He supervises the facility's PACE (Prisoner's AIDS Counseling Education) Program and is a trained Pre-Post HIV Counselor. He is a member of the Leadership Team of the United Church AIDS/HIV Network, Council of National Religious AIDS Networks, Interfaith AIDS Network of Western New York, Western Region Education Committee of the New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute and President of the Board of Directors of the AIDS Alliance of Western New York.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Alice Davis

Ms. Davis is an Elder in the Presbyterian Church, USA and has been a member of the Presbyterian AIDS Network Leadership Team since 1993 and is currently serving a second two-year term as co-moderator. She is currently the Associate Director of Project YES, an educational organization, whose goal is to ensure the healthy development of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth. Ms. Davis is also an instructor at the University of Miami School of Business Administration. She received a Master of Public Administration from the University of Miami, a Master of Arts in Teaching from The Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. in German from Northwestern University.

Rev. Jeff Peterson-Davis is the Executive Director of the Atlanta Interfaith AIDS Network (AIAN). He is an ordained Presbyterian minister. AIAN is a non-profit community-based organization that addresses the needs of people infected with, affected by, or at risk of HIV/AIDS. Atlanta Interfaith AIDS Network operates Common Ground, a daily support and activity program that offers emotional, spiritual, and psychosocial support to people living with HIV/AIDS. Faithful Care, the agency's care team program, offers practical support to persons who are homebound with AIDS. The third component of AIAN is its extensive Educational Outreach to faith communities and groups throughout Atlanta. HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention, and involvement are key elements in these education programs that target youth and adults. Rev. Peterson-Davis holds a B.A. degree from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA and a M.Div. from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA.
